02 / Manifesto

Most websites look fine and quietly underperform. They load slowly on phones. They leak enquiries. Nobody on the team can change them. We build sites that are fast, accessible and easy to run, and we stay on after launch to keep them that way.

05 / Performance

Performance and Google's Core Web Vitals

Slow sites lose visitors and hurt search rankings, so we treat speed as a target, not a hope.

We set targets for LCP and interaction latency, then build and tune against them. The scores alongside are from a site we built: the same standard we hold your site to.

Louis Wright, Founder and Managing Partner

Building on the web since 2016

Louis is a cyber security researcher and software engineer. He holds an MSc in Computer Science for Cyber Security from Oxford Brookes University and a BSc in Web Development from Falmouth University, and he writes the open-source tools this site is tested with.

A note from Louis

I started Wright Websites in August 2016, and it is still run from Prestwood in Buckinghamshire.

We work remote-first, mostly over video calls and shared documents. Before any build work starts you get a written proposal and a fixed quote, so you know what you are paying for.

I write the open-source audit tools this site is tested with and publish them free on npm. If a check matters enough for us to run it on your site, it should be open for anyone to run.

After launch, WebCare™ keeps a named team available for updates, fixes and improvements. If you would like to talk about a project, I would be glad to hear from you.
